About ManuWorks
ManuWorks.ai is an AI workspace built for legal professionals. It combines Agentic AI, specialised AI Assistants and Manupatra’s trusted legal intelligence to help lawyers complete legal work faster and more efficiently. Users can perform focused tasks such as summarising, translating, comparing and analysing documents, or use Agentic AI to plan and execute multi-step legal workflows towards a defined objective.
ManuWorks.ai is built specifically for legal work. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, it combines Agentic AI, specialised legal AI Assistants and integration with Manupatra’s proprietary legal database. This enables legal professionals to work with their own documents, access trusted legal information, automate multi-step workflows and complete legal tasks within a single AI workspace.
ManuWorks.ai is built for legal professionals and anyone working with legal information, including lawyers, law firms, in-house legal teams, corporate legal departments, researchers and law students.
You can use ManuWorks.ai for a wide range of legal tasks, including legal research, document review and analysis, summarization, drafting, translation, document comparison, building case timelines, extracting information from scanned documents, and multi-step legal workflows using Agentic AI.
No. You can use ManuWorks.ai without a Manupatra subscription. However, connecting an active Manupatra account gives you access to Manupatra’s proprietary legal database within ManuWorks.ai, enabling research grounded in trusted legal content with source-linked citations.
ManuWorks.ai offers two ways to work with AI, depending on the task: AI Assistants are designed for focused, individual tasks such as summarizing or translating documents, comparing versions, extracting text from scanned files, and building case timelines. Agentic AI is designed for objectives that require multiple connected steps. Give it an objective, and it can plan the work, break it into tasks, coordinate the appropriate AI capabilities, carry context across steps, and complete multiple tasks within a single request.
Agentic AI & AI Assistants
Agentic AI goes beyond responding to a single prompt. You give it an objective, and it can plan the work, break it into tasks, carry context from one step to the next, use authorized tools and sources, and complete multiple steps towards the desired outcome.
An AI Assistant helps you complete a specific task, such as summarizing a document, translating text or comparing documents. Agentic AI is designed for work that involves multiple connected steps. You define the objective, and it plans and coordinates the tasks required to work towards the outcome while carrying context across the workflow.
Use Agentic AI when your objective requires multiple connected tasks rather than a single action. For example, reviewing a matter may involve analyzing documents, identifying key facts and issues, conducting legal research and preparing a brief. For a focused, standalone task such as summarizing or translating a document, use an AI Assistant.
ManuWorks.ai offers specialized AI Assistants for common legal tasks, including Summarizer, Translator, Drafter, Compare, Timeline, OCR and Document Query. Each Assistant is designed to help complete a specific task.
Yes. Training and onboarding support are available to help users understand how to define objectives, work with Agentic AI and use it effectively for legal workflows.

PRICING & CREDITS
ManuWorks.ai follows a consumption-based credit model. Credits are deducted based on the features you use and the tasks you perform.
A consumption-based credit system means you use credits based on your actual usage of the platform. Different features and tasks may consume different amounts of credits.
Credits are consumed when you use AI features on ManuWorks.ai. The number of credits used depends on the feature and the nature of the task being performed.
For Agentic AI and Tabular Workflow, credit consumption is dynamic and depends on factors such as the complexity of the task, the input provided, and the volume of the generated output. The credits consumed are calculated and displayed once the task is completed.
You can view your available credit balance and usage at any time under Wallet in your ManuWorks.ai account.
Once your available credits are exhausted, you will need to purchase additional credits to continue using features that consume credits.
Yes. You can top up your credits as required and continue using ManuWorks.ai.
VAULT & DOCUMENTS
The Vault is your document repository within ManuWorks.ai. It allows you to store, organise and reuse important documents across different tasks and workflows. Reusing documents from the Vault can also help reduce repeated credit consumption, as the same content does not need to be processed afresh each time.

Summariser
An AI-generated summary is a condensed version of a larger piece of content, created using artificial intelligence. It captures the most important ideas, points, or themes from the original text.
AI uses natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning models to: • Identify key sentences and themes • Understand context and intent • Filter out irrelevant or repetitive content • Generate either extractive (pulled from the original) or abstractive (rewritten in its own words) summaries
AI can summarize: • Long-form articles and blog posts • Academic papers or reports • Meeting notes or transcripts • Legal or policy documents • Emails and chat threads • Podcasts, videos, or YouTube content • Books or chapters
Accuracy depends on: • The clarity and quality of the original content • The complexity of the subject Manu Works recommends a human review for critical use cases.
No. ManuWorks AI cannot generate summaries from audio or video content.
Yes. Please contact your Relationship Manager or mail to contact@manupatra.com for details.
OCR
AI-generated OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology that uses artificial intelligence to automatically recognize, extract, and convert text from images or scanned documents into editable and searchable digital formats.
Traditional OCR relies on fixed pattern matching and basic image processing, while AI-powered OCR uses machine learning and deep learning to: • Recognize complex fonts or handwriting • Handle noisy or low-quality images • Understand context for better accuracy • Detect multiple languages and layouts
AI OCR can extract text from: • Printed documents (e.g., contracts, Court orders etc.) • Handwritten notes or letters • Receipts and bills • Books or articles
AI-based OCR can achieve very high accuracy (90–99%) when trained on high-quality datasets. Accuracy depends on factors like: • Image quality and resolution • Language or font used • Clarity of handwriting (if applicable) • Document layout or structure
No. However, we are working on the same and will be available shortly.
Manu Works AI OCR platforms support dozens to hundreds of languages, including:
AI OCR tools can output text in various formats: • Plain text (.txt) • PDF with selectable text (OCR’d PDF) • Word documents (.docx)
ManuWorks AI OCR tools work out-of-the-box with pre-trained models.
Your data is safe as ManuWorks uses end-to-end encryption.
• Invoice and receipt processing • Digitizing paper archives or books • Legal document scanning
Yes. Please contact your Relationship Manager or mail to contact@manupatra.com.
Translation
AI-generated translation uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to automatically convert text or documents from one language (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, Bengali) into another — in this case, English — while preserving meaning and context.
Most advanced AI translation tools support: • Hindi • Bengali • Tamil • Telugu • Marathi • Kannada • Gujarati • Malayalam • Punjabi • Odia
AI translation accuracy is generally high for common languages like Hindi or Tamil, especially for formal and straightforward text. However, accuracy may vary based on: • Regional dialects or slang • Complex sentence structures • Informal or poetic language • Code-mixed text (e.g., Hindi-English) Human review is still recommended for professional or sensitive use cases.
Yes. AI tools with speech recognition (ASR) and machine translation (MT) can: • Transcribe spoken Indian languages • Translate the transcript into English • Used in apps like YouTube captions, Zoom, or meeting tools
AI tools can translate: • Text (documents, messages, articles) • Web content • Government forms and notices
Caution is advised. While AI can translate basic technical terms, domain-specific accuracy may be limited. For legal, medical, or official documents, it’s best to: • Use AI as a first draft • Have a human expert review or revise
Yes. AI translation tools can preserve: • Paragraphs and line breaks • Bullet points or numbered lists
The ManuWorks AI platform provides: • End-to-end encryption • No data retention policies
Timeline
An AI-generated timeline is a chronological sequence of events automatically created by artificial intelligence based on user data. It can be used for creating timelines of Court orders, due Diligence etc.
The AI analyzes the information you provide—such as text descriptions and dates—and organizes the events into a structured timeline format. It uses natural language processing and pattern recognition to determine event order, duration, and relevance. It also creates a gist of events.
You can provide: See Matrix
Yes. Manuworks allow you to manually adjust, reorder, or delete events after the timeline is generated. You can also add more details or change the format/Font. You can print/email or download the same.
The accuracy depends on the quality and clarity of the input. AI can organize information efficiently, but it may not fully understand context, deadlines, or dependencies without human input. It’s best to review and refine the output.
Manuworks AI platforms follow standard data privacy and security protocols.
